Allegan Girls Tennis had a busy weekend, bringing Grand Haven, Coopersville, & Mason to town for our annual Early Bird Invitational. The Tigers had a dominant day, showing incredible depth throughout. 7 of our 9 flights went 3-0 and we didn’t lose a set until 3PM.
We are a well experience team this year, and frankly, it really showed. We have 5 out of 6 seniors in doubles and our communication, aggression at the net, and ability to keep the ball away fro the net girls shined all day long. Our singles lineup features a lot of our youth, but we didn’t show it yesterday. Kendall Halstead had the match of the day against Mason, showing a lot of grit and determination to come back and win in 3 sets.
We move to 5-0-0(1-0-0) on the season, and look forward to a week of practice before hosting the ever so tough Allegan Invitational next weekend. Congrats to Coach Arthur for picking up his 100th career win as the Tiger Girls Tennis Coach. Go Tigers!
