The Allegan Tigers wrapped up a busy 30 hours of tennis with the completion of the Tiger Invitational. Once again the Tigers hosted a D4, six-team tournament with #1 Ann Arbor Greenhills, #10 Lansing Catholic, North Muskegon, Armada, & Comstock Park all traveling an hour + to Allegan.
We had a somewhat delayed start, only using our 4 indoor courts, but we were able to shift outdoors by 11:30AM. The ladies did not let the slow start affect their level of play. We played some high level tennis against some high level opponents. Super proud of the way we played against Ann Arbor Greenhills across the board. We didn’t enter those matches scared, we stuck to our goal: to compete and make them earn it. I have to give a shout-out to our 2D & 3D teams. Taylor, Hanna, Emma, & Sophia really played some of the best tennis of their careers against Greenhills in the championship matches. Their energy, teamwork, and coachability rose their excellent play another level. I’m just super proud of what they achieved yesterday. Go Tigers!
