Allegan Public Schools uses a variety of tools to communicate with our community. This page serves as a central location for the communications platforms we use and provides quick links to the channels used to communicate with families.
Platforms
SchoolMessenger

Our district communicates important information through emails, text messages, and phone calls using SchoolMessenger. Therefore, it is imperative that you have your current phone number and email address on file with your student’s school. Once you have done this, text Y to 67587 to opt in to receive text messages. SchoolMessenger communications may be sent between 5:15 a.m. and 10 p.m. Follow these instructions to manage your SchoolMessenger account. To access the SchoolMessenger website, click here.
PowerSchool

Our district uses PowerSchool to report grades, attendance, and other important student information. Click here for instructions on accessing and managing your PowerSchool account.
Peachjar

Our district uses Peachjar to share enriching opportunities for students and staff that are offered by community groups and organizations. Click here for additional information.
TV

Our district reports school closings, delays, and event cancellations to WWMT (channel 3), WOOD-TV (channel 8), and WXMI (channel 17). School closings, delays, and event cancellations are also communicated through SchoolMessenger. We will report event cancellations only when all district events are canceled.
Our Schools

Our district publishes “Our Schools,” a quarterly newsletter that is mailed to all Allegan residents and the families of APS students living outside of the 49010 zip code. If you not receiving “Our Schools” and are an Allegan resident, please email your first and last name and mailing address to . Families living outside of the 49010 zip code should make sure that their current mailing address is on file with their student’s school to receive this publication.
