On Friday the track teams traveled to Gull Lake for the Rising Stars Invite. The boys and girls had a good night of competition with several athletes medaling and setting new personal bests. In the boy’s meet, Loghan Murphy led the way with 3rd place finishes in both the 1600m and the 800m. Loghan also set a new lifetime best in the 800m on the evening. Kellen Chalupa placed 2nd in the 1600m and also set a new personal best. Lastly, Connor Dittenbir, Bradyn Kosiorowski, Hauk Henrickson and Matheson Vernia represented Allegan with a 3rd place in the Thrower’s 400m Relay! Congratulations to all our other athletes who set new lifetime bests in their respective events, including Matheson Vernia (shot put and discus), Bradyn Kosiorowksi (400m), Chase Clemons (300m Hurdles), Brandon Thrash (100m), and John DeLaet (200m).
For the girls the meet was highlighted by Bailee Dilley rebreaking her own school record in the pole vault, setting the new mark at 11’6″! Bailee won the pole vault, placed 2nd in the 400m and finished 3rd in the 100m. Jayden VandenAkker finished 1st in both the 100m and 300m hurdles and placed 2nd in the high jump. Nevaeh Williams (200m) and Anna Billman (3200m) both placed 3rd in their respective events. Congratulations to Bailee Dilley (pole vault), Nevaeh Williams (200m), Anna Billman (3200m), Alyx Falor (100m Hurdles) and Ace Conner (100m) for setting new lifetime bests!
