Dear Allegan community:
This summer, the Allegan Aquatic Center will temporarily close to accommodate important construction work as part of Phase 3 of the 2021 APS bond construction projects at Allegan High School. The tentative dates for this closure are June 9–July 9 (Update: As of July 9, the Aquatic Center remains closed. Please check the Aquatic Center website for additional updates).
The high school is set to undergo extensive renovations this summer, including updates to classrooms and bathrooms, installation of a new gym floor, resurfacing of the auxiliary gym floor, and roof replacements over both the gym and the Aquatic Center. For the safety of our community, there will be no public access to the high school while these renovations are taking place.
While this closure is unfortunate, the Allegan Aquatic Center staff will use this time to improve its pool programming and swimming curriculum.
Current Allegan Aquatic Center memberships will be paused during this period, and those weeks will be added to member accounts once the Aquatic Center reopens. If you have a credit or pool passes on your RecDesk account, these will remain active and will not expire.
