Dear Allegan community:
As part of Phase 4 of the 2021 APS bond construction projects at Allegan High School, the Allegan Aquatic Center will temporarily close to accommodate construction work. This temporary closure will begin on June 5, 2026.
The Aquatic Center will be receiving new flooring in the entrance and main hallways. It will also receive updates and much needed work to the main entry door and handicap door systems. The high school is set to undergo more renovations this summer, including updates to classrooms and flooring. For the safety of our community, there will be no public access to the high school while these renovations are taking place.
While this closure is unfortunate, the Allegan Aquatic Center staff will use this time to improve its pool programming and its policies and procedures.
Current Allegan Aquatic Center memberships will be paused during this period, and those weeks will be added to member accounts once the Aquatic Center reopens. If you have a credit on your RecDesk account and/or punch cards, these will remain active and will not expire.
