The Allegan Girls Tennis team completed an incredible season this weekend at the MHSAA Division 4 State Finals, finishing 3rd in the state with 18 points. This marks the program’s highest State Finals finish since 2013, when Allegan finished as State Runner-Up.
The Tigers competed at a very high level throughout the two-day tournament. At 4 Singles, Allegan advanced to the semifinals before falling to the eventual State Champion. 2 Doubles also reached the semifinals, where they battled hard against Greenhills. 1 Doubles and 3 Doubles both made outstanding runs to the State Finals, finishing as State Runner-Up at their respective flights.
This State Finals performance was the final chapter of one of the best seasons in program history.
The Tigers finished the year 22-0-0 overall and captured the Conference Championship, Regional Championship, Valley Division Championship, Allegan Invitational Championship, and Tiger Duals Championship. In addition to the team success, numerous team and individual school records were broken or tied throughout the season.
This group also earned back-to-back Top 10 finishes at the State Finals, further cementing their place among the strongest teams in Allegan Girls Tennis history.
More than the wins, records, and championships, this team represented Allegan with toughness, pride, and commitment. They competed for each other, handled pressure with maturity, and made our school and community proud.
Congratulations to the 2026 Allegan Girls Tennis team on a truly historic season.
Go Tigers!
