It was another chilly day of competition, but our Tigers continued to shine bright at today’s SAC Conference Championships today.
The girl’s meet was highlighted by medal-winnimg efforts from Jayden VandenAkker with a 1st place finish in the 100m hurdles a 2nd place finish in the 300m hurdles, amd a 4th place finish in the high jump. Bailee Dilley placed and medaled winning the pole vault and finishing 3rd in the 400m. Other scoring performances came from the 800m Relay of Nevaeh Williams, Eliza DeLaet, Aylah Copeland, and Ireland Dewey, which placed 8th. The 400m Relay team of DeLaet, Williams, VamdenAkker, and Copeland also scored, finishing 7th. Congratulations to Odessa Barnhart (shot put), Anna Billman (3200m), Bridget McKinley (1600m) and Bailee Dilley (400m) for all setting new lifetime bests today! The girl’s team placed 6th overall today!
In the boy’s meet Kellen Chalupa brought home the team’s lone medal with a 4th place finish in the 1600m. Other scoring performances came from Ezra Smith in the pole vault (7th), Chalupa in the 800m (5th) and the 1600m Relay of McDade, Murphy, Kosiorowski and Chalupa (5th). Outstanding efforts resulting in new PRs were notched by Loghan Murphy (1600m/800m), Kellen Chalupa (1600m), Bradyn Kosiorowski (400m), Connor Dittenbir (shot put), Thomas Sigler (3200m), Chase Clemons (110m hurdles). The boy’s team placed 15th overall.
