Sending a thank you to our partners in the community

Superintendent's Message

Tiger families:

I have always valued how our community comes together for a good cause, and education at Allegan Public Schools is certainly that. Our community partnerships are vital to the success of the staff and students of Allegan Public Schools, and I wanted to share a non-exhaustive list of the many partnerships that we engage in for the betterment of our students:

  • Kids Hope
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters
  • Allegan Department of Health and Human Services – Pathways to Potential
  • West Michigan Works
  • Lake Michigan College
  • Linking Center and Bravo Christian Reformed Church, Pullman
  • Community Action of Allegan County
  • TRIO Educational Opportunity Center
  • Michigan Rehabilitation Services
  • Michigan Career Technical Institute
  • Allegan County Early Head Start
  • Allegan Ministerial Council and Local Churches
  • Love INC.
  • Allegan County Transportation
  • Women in Transition
  • Sylvia’s Place
  • Safe Harbor
  • The ARC
  • OnPoint Allegan
  • AAESA – Tech Center, Hillside Learning Center, Young Adult Program, GSRP
  • Ascension Borgess – Athletic Trainer
  • Allegan County Community Foundation
  • Education Foundation of Allegan Public Schools
  • Allegan City Police Department
  • Allegan County Sheriff’s Department
  • Kalamazoo Folklife – Allegan Chapter

These community partners are often the unsung heroes in our collective efforts to support our students. I wanted to take this opportunity to offer them our sincere gratitude. The phrase “it takes a village” has never been more true as we think about meeting the needs of our students. We cannot do it alone, and thankfully we do not have to. Thank you all!
