MEAL BENEFITS
Submit a completed Free and Reduced Price School Meals Family Application (PDF) to the food service office. One application should be completed per family each school year. Please fill out the application completely, including all household members, school building, grade of students, all household wages, your signature, and the last four digits of your Social Security number. All students who received Free or Reduced price meal benefits at the end of the previous school year will continue to receive those benefits until a new application has been submitted and processed in September.

ACCOUNTS
Each student has a lunch account. It cannot be used for charging but instead must be prepaid like a checking or debit account. Payments for lunch accounts can be made at the school, via mail, or online. To create or manage your school meals account online, please visit the Send Money to School website.
If you have any questions regarding your student’s lunch account or would like to control what they are purchasing, please contact the Food Service Director.
CHARGE POLICY
Lunch accounts should be prepaid. Low balance slips and emails are sent home on a regular basis. It is the policy of Allegan Public Schools that a student is given an alternative lunch if they have charged four meals without payment. The alternative lunch consists of a sandwich and milk, and the student is not charged for the alternative lunch.
SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS
Special dietary needs will be addressed upon receipt of a signed physician statement detailing the dietary needs. You can contact the Food Service Director to discuss any special dietary needs.
