Troy Carns, President

Troy was elected to the Board of Education in 2011 and re-elected in 2016. He is a self-employed farmer and heavy equipment operator. He graduated from Allegan High School in 1989 and enjoys sports, particularly coaching basketball.
Lane Sturman, Vice President

Lane Sturman took office in January 2015, serving a 6-year term. Lane has lived in Allegan since 2001 and works for JR Automotion. He and his wife, Mindy, have three children: MacKenzie and Jacob (graduated from Allegan High School) and Morgan (Allegan High School).
Nathon Kelley, Treasurer

Nathon was appointed to fill a partial term, beginning September 2017. He and his wife, Katie, moved to Allegan in 2014. They have three children attending Dawson Elementary (Grace, Josh, and Sam). He is also a Cubmaster and serves on the Allegan Tigershark Aquatics board.
KD Lake, Secretary

KD Lake was elected to fill a 2-year term on the board, beginning January 2017, and was re-elected in 2018. KD is a lifelong resident of Allegan and is the owner of Hartman-Ellis Insurance. She and her husband John have four children who attended or are attending APS (Taylor, Olivia, Peyton, and Cooper).
Mary Kasprzyk, Trustee

Mary Kasprzyk was elected in 2009. She and her husband Matt own and operate Ted’s Auto Body Shop. They have three children: Zach, Hannah, and Emma (all graduates of AHS). Mary is the founder and retired Executive Director of the Forever Curious Children’s Museum. She serves on the board for the museum.
Vicki Knuckles, Trustee

Vicki was elected in 2010. She is currently employed by the Allegan County Community Foundation. Vicki lives in Allegan with her husband, Paul. They have four children who have graduated from Allegan High School.
Jennifer Nicholson, Trustee
Email Jennifer Nicholson
Jennifer was elected to a 6-year term, beginning January 2017. She and her husband, Jack, moved to Allegan in 2006, and they have two sons attending Allegan High School (Austin and Brandon). Jennifer is an independent consultant with Pure Romance.
