The Allegan Boys’ Track and Field Team competed at the Wildcat Invitational in Wayland on Friday night. The Tigers placed 6th out of 7 teams but had some very impressive individual performances. In the first race of the meet, the 4x800m Relay team of Kaleb Smith, Matt Maka, Connor Harlan, and Blane Johnson won leading from beginning to end. Blane Johnson then went on to win the 800m and Connor Harlan won the 3200m run leading from start to finish. Other notable accomplishments were Devontae Lawshea throwing two personal bests in both the shot put and the discus, Spencer Koch ran a personal best in the 800m, Adam Smith and Josiah Flora both ran personal bests in the 200m, and Josh Hamman ran a personal best in the 110m Hurdles and jumped a personal best of 5’2″ in the high jump. The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday at Sturgis to compete in a Wolverine Conference Double Dual with Dowagiac.
