Beilfuss and Evans Advance to State

Friday Team event
Friday was team event at M-66 bowl, the event consisted of 6 baker games followed by 3 regular games, the top 3 teams continue on to state.
Allegan Boys finished 8th out of 18 teams. The boys struggled with spares through out the day but never gave up. High individual game was Gunner Evans with a 235 and Layton Brown’s 209.
Allegan Girls finished 10th out of 16 teams. The girls had a fabulous 175 baker game, high individual game was Kelsey Clark with a 170 and Haylee Thompson’s 157.
Singles event was a 6 game set and the top ten bowlers total pin count will make it to state.
Saturday singles portion of regionals was a new day and produced some great results there were a total of 96 entrants in the boys division. Fletcher Beilfuss finished 6th with a 1101 series and qualified for State, Fletcher was very consistent through out the day with his high game being 205. Next was a big surprise as Gunner Evans who struggled in games 1 & 2 of the day. Gunner was the strongest finisher averaging 198 the last four games topped off with a 224 game to finish 9th with a 1073 series and also qualify for state. The great performance allowed Allegan to have two bowlers qualify for state for the first time in the same season. We almost put a third bowler in the top 10 as Layton Brown finished 14th with a 1033 series and a high game of 214. Jacob Wesche finished 35th with a 993 series, Jacob also had a new personal high game of 236. Shane Wesche 58th with a 901 series, with a high game of 223. James Page finished 91st with a 786 series.
Girls division of the singles had 92 entrants. Sophomore Haylee Thompson was in the top 10 through 4 games and put up a good effort finishing in 20th place with a 941 series, and had a high game of 177. Cambria Rader finished 31st with a 876 and the highest game of the day for the Allegan girls with a 196. Kelsey Clark finished 32nd with a 875 series and a high game of 175. Brooklynn Reed finished 50th with a 790 series and a high game of 151. Alexis Harrison finished 81st with a 670 series. Theresa Tice finished 88th with 619 series.
Saturday March 2nd Gunner and Fletcher will be in Muskegon facing the top 60 bowlers in the state for region 3. This has been a fantastic season for both the boys and girls.
