Excitement was in the air as the teams were getting ready for their matchups for the Southern Lake Michigan high school bowling conference.

Match 1
Allegan girls were facing a seasoned South Haven team. Game one came down to the tenth frame Allegan being led by seniors Kelsey Clark 142 and Theresa Tice 137 squeaked out the victory 600 to 590. Game two was more of the same each frame the teams we just pins apart going into the tenth again, this time it was Haylee Thompson’s 168 and Theresa’s 154 stretching out the lead giving Allegan a 625 to 597 victory. Bakers were a split Allegan took game one 111 to 106, and South Haven taking game two 110 to 93. Final score was Allegan 20 to South Havens 10.
Allegan Boys were facing Brandywine B. Allegan dominated right out of the gate as all eyes were on freshman Shane Wesche as he started with the first 7 frames with strikes. The eighth frame the nerves got to Shane as he pulled the shot and ended with a split, Shane finished with a great 228 game. Fletcher Beilfuss added a 201 game as Allegan won 904 to 526. Game two Gunner Evans led the team with a 190 as Allegan again won 770 to 495. Allegan swept the bakers winning 146 to 103 and 168 to 90. Allegan won 30 to Brandywine 0.
Match 2
Allegan Girls were facing Niles and again were in a nail biter. Allegan came out on the short end of game one as Niles anchor bowler put up a three strikes late to give Niles a 657 to 620 victory. Allegan was led by Haylee Thompson’s 150, Kelsey Clarks 129, and Theresa Tice’s 128. Game two Allegan came out and was determined to take game two, led by  Haylee’s 158, Cambria Rader 139, and Brooklynn Reed 138 Allegan won easily with a 631 to 526 victory.  Bakers were tight Niles won game one 113 to 101, Game two went right to the tenth Allegan has a chance a Haylee struck with the first shot and need to strike out for the win but came up high on the second shot as Niles won 149 to 139. Allegan lost the match 12 to 18. The Girls record in the Southern Lake Michigan high school bowling conference is now 2-2 and 3-3 overall.
Allegan Varsity Boys won  24-6 against the Allegan JV team. Game one Fletcher Beilfuss led the team with a 268 game Gunner Evans had a 203 game as the won the match 894 to 681. Game two Allegan won 739 to 663 Layton Brown was top score with a 170. Bakers the JV boys won game one 145 to 144, Allegan Varsity won game two 190 to 153. It was great watching the kids have a great time and bowl so well today. Allegan is now 4-0 in the Southern Lake Michigan high school bowling conference is now 4-0 and 6-0 overall. The next match is Wednesday 12-19 against Three Rivers at 4 PM at Sunset Lanes in Allegan.
