Tigers Take 3rd at MHSAA State Tournament

The tennis team finished in 3rd place in the MHSAA Division IV state tournament at Kalamazoo.  The Tigers’ depth proved to be big in the team’s final standing as every player won at least one match to add to the team’s total.
Reaching the state final match and finishing runner-up were Zach Sisson-Zach Lang (#1 Doubles), Owen Clearwater-Walker Michaels (#3 Doubles) and Vance Muenzer-Ben Groth (#4 Doubles).
Semifinalists were Kody Harrington (#2 Singles) and Lukas Vlietstra-Korbin Sisson (#2 Doubles).  Reaching the quarterfinals were Jack Nahikian (#4 Singles) who knocked off the #6 seed en route to his finish and Tim Lyon (#3 Singles).  Tyler Aldrich (#1 Singles) won his opening round match before falling in three sets to the #4 ranked player in the tournament.
