Sturman Qualifies for State for the Tigers in Golf

The Tigers competed in the regional golf tournament hosted by Lake Doster Golf Course.  The Tigers shot a team score of 436 to finish 7th out of the twelve teams entered.  Morgan Sturman led the Tigers with a score of 89 and qualified for the state tournament next week by winning a sudden death playoff.  Morgan finished in 5th place for the tournament.  She is the 1st Allegan Tiger to qualify for the state tournament.  Emma Franklin followed up her score with a 94 and was 9th on the day.  Delaney Heckman shot 123 to finish third for the Tigers.  Taryn Orr shot 130 and Hope Lambert 137 to round out the Tiger scores.  The state tournament will take place at Forrest Akers in East Lansing next Friday and Saturday.
