Tiger Swim has Strong Effort at Allegan Invite

The Allegan Women’s Swimming and Diving Team had a strong 4th place finish among a field of upper division opponents on Saturday.  Divisional Medalists for the Tigers were Alexis Crowe, Madison Wilson, Haylee Thompson and Caylie Riess and Alexa Porterfield, Jaelyn Woodstock, Kenna Baker and Kelsey Clark, 200 Medley Relay; Hayley Staffen and Brooke Houser, 200 free; Ashlyn Clement, 200 IM; Ally Brown, 50 free; Brooke Houser, 100 fly; Woodstock, 500 free; Brown, Crowe, Morgan Kruithoff and Woodstock and Wilson, Clark, Baker and Porterfield, 200 free relay; Clement, 100 back; Brown and Hannah Antkoviak, 100 breast.  Winning the 200 Medley Relay outright were Clement, Antkoviak, Houser and Staffen.  Staffen added another outright win in the 100 back, earning her way to the post-season with an individual state championship qualifying time.  Finally, Antkoviak, Houser, Staffen and Clement teamed up again to win the 200 free relay in State qualifying and meet record time, taking the title from a team that included a top 20 national swimmer.  The Tigers are on the road versus Marshall on Tuesday night
