I am so excited to be a part of the West Ward community–I have been made to feel so welcome by our staff and families that my eagerness for the school year to start has only increased. I feel my roots growing deeper with every single person I meet. I am hoping that throughout the year, we will get to know each other, and continue on with the West Ward traditions: fostering a safe environment, high student success, and the ever important parental involvement.
To get you started in getting to know me, I would like to share a little bit about myself. I am originally from a small island called Malta (bonus points to those of you who can tell me its location on Open House night!). I moved to the United States with my family when I was thirteen and went on to attend Western Michigan University where I earned my Bachelor’s in Secondary Education, and later my Master’s in Educational Leadership. While at WMU, I met Mr. Cassar, and we now have two wonderful children; Kinley is six and will be a first grader here at West Ward, and Lincoln is three. We all look forward to immersing ourselves even further within the Allegan community!
You will have the opportunity to meet me in person on Wednesday, August 29th, 2018 from 5:30 – 6:00 p.m. The Open House will follow from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. I look forward to meeting every single one of you, and having a great year together!
